Always curious and eager to learn new technologies an take on new roles. At present, I am finalizing my PhD Thesis at the Institute of Digital Games, University of Malta. My PhD research focuses on Affective Computing, Virtual experiences and Architecture, with the aim of developing Machine Learning Models of Affect. This work holds valuable applications across architecture, video games, and the entertainment industry, helping conten creators, designers, and architects better understand the affective impact of dynamic content.
I hold an MSc in Lighting Design from the Architecture, Design, and Media Technology Department at Aalborg University, Copenhagen and a BSc in Informatics Engineering and Multimedia from the Hellenic Mediterranean University. Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have worn multiple hats contributing to various EU projects as Research Assistant, taking on roles including data analysis and research, teaching, prototyping and development. Additionally, I have supported projects as a Technical Writer and actively participated in dissemination activities, ranging from Conference Presentations to Consortium Meetings and Social media management.
My Research Interests include: Human-Computer Interaction, User research, Data Science and Analysis, Mixed realities and generally Interactive Multimedia Research (Videos games, Audio and Video). I am always open to discuss new projects and potential collaborations both in the Academia and Industry.
